Personal Information Protection Policy

The Japan Shogi Association will contribute to the spread and development of Shogi, a traditional culture, by providing various services and products to our customers in accordance with our basic policy. In carrying out these activities, we recognize that information that can be used to identify individuals, such as names, addresses, and telephone numbers, is important not only for our customers but also for our business partners.
In order to protect and handle personal information appropriately, the Japan Shogi Association will take the following measures.

1. The JSA will ensure that its employees and other related parties (including subcontractors) recognize the importance of protecting personal information, and will formulate and steadily implement the "Rules for the Protection of Personal Information and Specified Personal Information".

2. The JSA will establish a management system for the protection of personal information in accordance with the actual business conditions, and will handle personal information in an appropriate manner in accordance with the prescribed rules for the collection and use of personal information.

3. In order to prevent unauthorized access to personal information, as well as the loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of personal information, the JSA will manage personal information in a safe manner, and will strive to ensure, improve, and correct security.

4. The Nihon Shogi Federation will appropriately respond to requests for disclosure, addition, deletion, suspension of use, deletion, etc., by the relevant person of personal information regarding the personal information that identifies the relevant person.

5. The JSA will not provide or disclose personal information (excluding specified personal information) to a third party without the prior consent of the person concerned, except in cases permitted by law. 6. In the event that the JSA outsources all or part of the handling of personal information, the JSA will oblige the outsourcee to manage the personal information safely, and will supervise the outsourcee in a necessary and appropriate manner.

7. In addition to complying with the relevant laws, regulations, and other rules, the Nihon Shogi Federation will make efforts to continuously improve and enhance its efforts to protect personal information in accordance with changes in the environment.
