1. Basic Schedule
June to July each country or region Preliminary Rounds
August to September “Continental Championship” with players representing each country or region.

3. Tournament Format
- June - July “Qualifying competition in each country or region”
- August – September “Continental Championship” with players representing each country or region.
- Asia, Oceania and Pacific Zone
- North America and Latin America Zone
- Europe and Africa Zone
- The tournament will be held online.
- Participants of the Continental Championship must be able to play on 81 Dojo using the Internet and Google Meet.
- The tournament schedule and game rules are decided by the Japan Shogi Association.
- October 15(Fri) 16 (Sat) and 17 (Sun)
- The finals will be held with a total of 16 participants, who won the Continental Championships and recommended by the organizer.

6. Entry Qualification
- All the Participants are required to possess the nationality of the respective countries.
- Only the winners of the qualifying tournament in each country or region can participate in the Continental Championship. (refer to the number of representatives in the list)
- Participants of the Continental Championship must be able to play on 81 Dojo using the Internet and Google Meet.
- Participants of the Continental Championship must be able to communicate in English or Japanese.

3. Method of Selection
Online
4. Entry Qualification
- All the participants are required to possess the nationality of the respective countries.
- Participants of the Continental Championship must be able to play on 81 Dojo using the internet and Google Meet.
- Participants of the Continental Championship must be able to communicate in English or Japanese.
5. Continental Representative Tournament Regulations
- Representatives from each country or region will be sent an invitation to the continental championship by e-mail.
- The game will be played in a tournament format.
- Tournament draws will be made in advance by the International Shogi Festival Office.
- The number of tournaments will be determined by the number of players in each continental championship.
- The top winners according to each zone quota will advance to the finals.
- Playing time; players are given 10 minutes. When the time runs out, players will be given a 30-second countdown.
- The rules of the game will be announced to the players after the representatives are decided.

5. The 8th International Shogi Tournament Online ver, Finals Regulations
- The game will be played in a tournament format.
- Tournament draws will be made in advance by the International Shogi Forum Office.
- Playing time; players are given 15 minutes. When the time runs out, players will be given a 60-second countdown.
- The detailed regulations of the game will be announced to the players after the representatives are decided.
